Have you looked in to Geezeo? I haven’t tried it myself, but have seen it many times when reading articles about Mint.

I personally use YNAB and even though it isn’t available online, I can’t see myself switching from it anytime soon.

I am a quicken fan, but I have never used another software so I can’t really explain why it is better than MS Money or any other.

It has always been easy to use and gives me the data I need to know how my investments are performing.

The below URL has MS Money and Quicken with feature lists on the same page.

Essentially, I don’t think you can really make a “mistake” purchasing one over the other. They both do the same thing. My decision to go with Quicken was this; “If MS Money operates like Windows operates, I am gonna be in trouble”

Yes, there is. You have a variety of options. The toolbar that I use helps track my expenses which in turn helps me make a better budget. I get a report based on my monthly or yearly spending. The toolbar is called Billeo. It has other features too. Works for me.

Yes, few tools are available on the net. You need to choose one that provides reviews of all accounts in one place, track all your bills and also help you with budget and cash flow management. You have to start an account and link your bank and credit card accounts. is what I use for managing my finance. It is free, safe and reliable too.

Excel or any speadsheet program can do that for you. You can set up a check register to keep track of your balance.

Some banks and credit unions that have online banking also have a system where you can import all the checking account data directly into Excel.

I have only used the trail version, but I know a lot of people really like the program You Need A Budget! Personally, I just use a combination of spreadsheet I made myself, and NetworthIQ to keep track of the big picture. For tracking spending habits, I really like Mint, too.
